摘要 1,241,734. Boots &c. A. L. HEATH. 21 Nov., 1969 [22 Nov., 1968], No. 57061/69. Heading A3B. A shoe last is defined relative to a vertical reference plane on the bisector 36 of the last, a longitudinal axis on the reference plane, and nineteen evenly spaced contours 1 to 19 on planes normal to the axis and consecutively numbered from the toe to the heel of the last, the last being of such a shape that the bottom surfaces of the heel and shank regions of the last are asymmetrically curved from the inner side downwardly to the outer side (see Fig. 6) and that the line 40 (Fig. 3) joining the top centres of the contours lies outside the reference plane 36 in the region of contours 18 to 13, crosses the reference plane in the region of contours 12 to 10 and angles inwardly away from the reference plane 36 from the crossing point to the region of the inner ball point of the last. The top centre of each contour is defined as the highest point on each contour having a curved top surface (e.g. contours 11, 12, 13 have top centres indicated by lines, 11a, 12a, 13a in Fig. 6) and the mid point of the flat surface for contours having a flat top surface. The angle between the top centre line 40 and reference plane 36 is from 17 degrees to 23 degrees. The angles between the reference plane 36 and lines joining the axis and the top centre line 40 (e.g. lines 11a, 12a, 13a) in the region of contours 18 to 13 are from 2 degrees to 5 degrees. Shoes made on such a last resist the normal tendency of the normal foot to pronate due to lateral displacement of the os calcis relative to the talus.
