PURPOSE:To reduce sheet resistance of transparent electrode film by forming transparent electrode film comprising indium oxide doped with tin oxide on the inside surface of one of a pair of substrate and subjecting the substrates to heat-treatment after bonding a pair of the substrates with a sealing agent contg. a trace amt. of a reducing org. compd. CONSTITUTION:Indium oxide contained in a transparent electrode film is reduced partly by a reducing org. compd. during heat-treatment of a pair of substrates which have been bonded with a sealing agent contg. a trace amt. of the reducing org. compd., and the concn. of carrier in the transparent electrode film is increased. In this case, the sealing agent is coated on the periphery of the substrates by the same method as screen printing, etc. and the sealing agent is hardened by heat-treatment after bonding the substrates. By this method, the sheet resistance of the transparent electrode film is reduced.
