Shut-off valve in a fuel line leading to a fuel tank of a motor vehicle, with a valve seat and a valve body, which is can be moved by the opening and closing movement of a fuel tank cap. In order to create a valve which in the open position frees a large flow-cross-section, it is proposed that the valve body comprise a bendable diaphragm (1), preloaded towards the valve seat, on the side of which diaphragm remote from the valve seat (2) that is an actuating lever (3) is fixed, the free end of which is connected to a tappet (4), moveable transversely to the longitudinal axis of the actuating lever and coupled to the fuel tank cap, and that the valve seat (2) be surrounded by an annular chamber (5) which can be completely covered by the diaphragm (1), the annular chamber (5) being connected to a branch (6A) of the fuel line (6) and the internal chamber of the valve seat (2) to the other branch (6B) of the fuel line (6). <IMAGE> |
