<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of interruption requests from a coordinate input device and to reduce the load of an information processor by automatically changing a sampling rate in accordance with the position of a stylus pen. CONSTITUTION:A sampling rate setting part 24 changes the sampling rate to be set up in a timer 12 as follows in accordance with the status of the stylus pen 20. When the pen 20 contacts with the surface of an input plate 14 and is included within a coordinate measurement available area, the setting of the sampling rate is not changed. When the pen 20 is included within the available area, but does not contact with the input plate 14, the sampling rate is changed, e.g. reduced down to about 50 times/sec. When the pen 20 is not included in the available area, the sampling rate is changed to a lower value, e.g. about 10 times/sec.</p> |
