PURPOSE: To provide a tripod joint made at low manufacturing cost and being small in weight while guaranteeing functional safety. CONSTITUTION: A tripod joint has a joint outer part comprising a ring housing 1 and roller track elements having roller tracks, and a joint inner part comprising a tripod member 6 including rollers 5. The rollers 5 are guided on roller tracks 4 and the roller track elements 2 include longitudinal edges 3 facing an inner face 10 of the tripod housing 1. The tripod housing 1 basically constructed in a cylindrical shape has a housing space at its front end and is connected to a shaft journal at the opposite end. The roller track elements 2 are connected to the ring housing 1 via a non-separable junction at the front ends of the longitudinal edges 3.
