PURPOSE:To provided a waste disposal device provided with a means for inexpensively deodorizing a malodor generated together with a liq. matter in a decomposing vessel and to provide a waste disposal method. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted of the decomposing vessel 4 to which a waste ground by a grinder 2 is fed a contact aeration vessel 11 to which the waste liquified by a liquifying/microorganisms holding part 5 provided in the decomposing vessel 4 is fed, transfer pipes 7 and 12 for transferring air containing a malodor generated in the decomposing vessel to the contact aeration vessel 11 and a transfer pipe 19 for returning the air containing the residual malodor in the contact aeration vessel 11 to the decomposing vessel 4.
