PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid-state insulating switch, compact and further superior in reliability. SOLUTION: This switch possesses the first electrode 6, the second electrode 7 installed capable of connecting with and separating from the first electrode 6, vacuum containers 3, 9, 10, 26 to seal 6 and 7, the first movable unit 16 having a vacuum switch 27 provided with the first electrode member 4 whose one end is electrically and mechanically connected with 6 and 7 respectively and whose another end is extended from the vacuum containers and the second electrode member 8, having the first conductor 23 connected with 4, a solenoid operated mechanism 14 to open and close 27 by electromagnetic force, an operating rod 13 to connect 8 and 14 electrically/mechanically, a flexible conductor 24 whose one end is electrically connected with 13, and the second conductor 25 electrically connected with another end of 24 and wherein the 14 has electrically/mechanically connected with the 8 via 13, and this switch possesses the first stator 18 electrically connected with the 8, and an operation coil 22 which is wrapped of the surroundings by a solid insulator capable of withstanding the operating voltage of the switch and which is insulated from the 18.
