PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet whose transfer layer can be easily peeled off without causing any effect by the heat of the thermal head and the humidity environment.

SOLUTION: The thermal transfer sheet includes a base layer, a releasing layer provided on the base layer, and a transfer layer provided on the releasing layer in a releasing manner, wherein the releasing layer contains polyamide resin.
