摘要 FIELD: organic chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physical analysis of bioorganic materials, namely, to methods for separation of isomers of urocanic acid representing metabolite formed on human skin. Method is based on electrophoresis that is carried out on paper in acetate buffer at pH 5.5 for 15-20 min. Invention proposes a simple and available method for any analytical laboratory for separation of cis- and trans-isomers of urocanic acid. Method can be used in practice of biochemical medicinal laboratories investigating nitrogen metabolism in humans and animals, and processes of perspiration of metabolites through human skin.
