The method involves preparing a starting support comprising a lower borosilicate glass plate (31) and an upper borosilicate glass plate (32) fastened to the plate (31) by reversible direct bonding to obtain a removable bonding interface (33). A set of thin-film components is fabricated on the plate (32), where the components include a metallic electrode (41), insulating grid layer, contacts (43) and amorphous silicon zones. The plate (32) is separated from the plate (31) by disassembling the interface. The plate (32) and thin-film components are transferred to a final support. An independent claim is also included for a starting support adapted to the fabrication of an electronic device.
