<p>Cover, for protecting soil and/or banks from being eroded away by water, consists of a mat to which a number of elongated reinforcements are fastened, the mat and the reinforcements being fastened together by fasteners which grip a round or into the reinforcement and also grip into the mat by means of barbs. The mat is pref. a woven, knitted or non-woven fleece of synthetic fibres or filaments, esp. polyamide, polyester or polypropylene. The fastener enables the mat and reinforcements to be rapidly and effectively fastened together on the site, without needing skilled labour.</p> |
