PURPOSE:To eliminate fear of the manufacture cost increasing by attaching a plurality of paper feeding devices without being limited the number of connection ports. CONSTITUTION:A device body 1 is connected to each of paper feeding devices 5 and 6 through a bus 80 for executing serial communication. CPU 61 on the device body 1 side puts out command data having an identification code corresponding to the equipment number of the paper feeding devices 5 and 6 to the serial bus 80. When CPU 71 on the paper feeding devices 5 and 6 side receives the command data, it judges whether the command data correspond to the equipment or not based on the identification data of the equipment stored in ROM 72. When the CPU 71 determines that the command data corresponds to the equipment, status data corresponding to the command data is read out of the ROM 72 to send it out to the serial bus 80 or, when, for example, the put-in command data is a driving-motor on command or a driving-motor off command, to operate or stop a driving motor 42. |
