X-ray diagnosis arrangement with digital image converter

The x-ray arrangement includes an x-ray source (1) for generating an x-ray bundle (3). An image converter with a pixel matrix detects the x-ray images with a digital image system. The image converter may be an aSi:H x-ray detector or a CCD image converter. The image converter is connected to an x-ray image amplifier. An image reproduction arrangement connected to the image system reproduces the x-ray images. The image system includes an analogue pre-processing stage with a variable characteristic. The pre-processing stage has two segments, including a segment for dark image portions which has a greater amplification.
