Flowmeter with Force Sensing Resistor as sensor

The medium being measured flows onto a vane (3). The force exerted on the vane is coupled to the Forced Sensing Resistor (1) via an intermediate block. The current through the resistor varies linearly in proportion to the force, and hence the flow rate. The output signal from the sensor can be fed to a data processing system or used to drive a meter or other indicator device (4).
