The present invention relates to a beamforming based communication method of a multi-user multiple Input multiple output (MU-MIMO) system and a communication system supporting same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the beamforming based communication method of an MU-MIMO system includes: transmitting a reference signal to a plurality of terminals positioned within a service area; receiving at least one of channel state information, measured based on the reference signal, or a specific precoding matrix indicator corresponding to the measured channel state information, from each of the terminals; determining a combination of users including two or more terminals among the terminals, based on the at least one of the specific precoding matrix indicator or the channel state information; and transmitting a precoded signal to the respective terminals included in the combination of users, based on the precoding matrix indicator. |
