<p>PURPOSE:To prevent clutch burning by forming a hollow, continued to the bottom of a tooth form, in a stepped part of ending the tooth form extended in the axial direction of a peripheral wall in a drum part for internally fitting a clutch plate. CONSTITUTION:A clutch drum 1 is formed of a drum part 2 and a cylinder part 3, to form by press work a tooth form 4 extended in a drum axial line direction in a peripheral wall of the drum part 2 for internally fitting a clutch plate, and a hollow 9, continued to a bottom of the tooth form 4, is formed in a stepped part 6 of ending the tooth form 4. By forming the hollow 9, an annular clutch plate supporting part 6a is formed in an internal peripheral edge part of the stepped part 6, and the tooth form, formed in a peripheral edge part of the clutch plate 5, is placed in a noninterfering condition in a forming part of the hollow 9. By forming the hollow 9, an arc-shaped surface in a bottom end part of the tooth form in the clutch drum 1 is surely removed, and a problem of clutch burning, due to riding on the arc-shaped surface and tilting of the clutch plate 5, can be effectively solved.</p> |
