Hygroscopic material for distribution on - roads

The material consists of blast furnace slag pref. containing SiO2, Al2O3 and CaO and having a grain size up to 10 mm (preferably 3 mm) and a specific gravity of 900 to 1000 kg/m3. The slag is mixed with strongly absorbing material, pref. dried clay, with a grain size no greater than 50u (pref. 30u). The clay is pref. added in amounts of 5 wt.% of the slag.
