Operating below the water level in each bath, the extruded plastic material is carried between pairs of bands in a convex path round the perforated drums. The jet arrays in each drum, with their triangular configuration, pass pumped water round the extruded material to intensify the cooling effect. The purpose is to provide a high-speed continuous process without breaking the extruded material. |
