PURPOSE:To enhance measuring accuracy by forming a conversion formula to remove the effect of the irregularity of the impedance of a depth measuring probe. CONSTITUTION:In a device for measuring the depth of the recessed part of a living body constituted so that a depth measuring probe 1 having an impedance sufficiently large as compared with that of the tissure of a living body is inserted in the recessed part of the living body and the depth of the recessed part of the living body is measured from the detected impedance value, a conversion formula using the impedance value RS1 from the base part 1a of the depth measuring probe 1 to a reference position P1 is formed and this formula is used to calculate the length L from the leading end of the probe to the insertion position P, that is, the depth of the recessed part of the living body. |
