<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette and magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus which easily prevents erroneous insertion. SOLUTION: In a tape cassette which comprises an erroneous insertion preventing member which disables loading, to the magnetic recording/ reproducing apparatus the tape cassette of the kind which his not allowed to be used in the magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus among different kinds of tape cassettes which is formed using the case 1 of the tape cassette having equal or almost equal external size, a reel lock canceling hole 7 is closed by the other end portion 18c of the erroneous insertion preventing member 18 under the condition that one end 18a is projected from the side surface of the case 1 of the tape cassette or the reel lock canceling hole 7 is opened by the other end portion 18c of the member 18 under the condition that one end 18a is not projected from the side surface of the case 1 of the tape cassette.</p> |
