PURPOSE: An extension type system of a multi-media service is provided to guarantee multi-media application programs in a state of a network and a local computer, and guarantee QoS(Quality of Service) between the multi-media application programs. CONSTITUTION: An extension-type system of a multi-media service comprises the steps of: detecting a QoS(Quality of Service) parameter with an optimum adjustment, control information, state information, by having all QoS specifications obtained in one's local computer, in a plurality of hosts connected as a network, and having the state information; transmitting the state information and the QoS parameter related to the connected other side, to the connected other side; detecting the QoS parameter with an optimum adjustment, the control information, the state information, according to the transmitted QoS parameter of the other side, the state information and a QoS parameter of a QoS manager, the state information and the QoS specification changed in the local computer; and periodically performing the transmitting step and the detecting step whenever a special event occurred.
