CONNECTION METHOD THROUGH IP NETWORK IN DIAL-UP ENVIRONMENT AND NETWORK ACCESS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain connection of in a 'man-to-man' level by an operation equivalent to a conventional telephone service in a network access device for connection with an IP network in a dial-up environment. SOLUTION: This network access device is provided with a means for obtaining a calling side IP address when a request for calling is generated by operating dial-up connection with inter-network connection equipment to which its own station subscribes, and for preparing an electronic mail indicating the obtained calling side IP address as calling communication information and transmitting it to the destination of incoming side equipment being network access device at the incoming side. Also, this network access device is provided with a means for recognizing that calling to the destination of its own station is present upon receiving the electronic mail incoming information clarifying the calling side IP address as the calling communication information, and a means for acquiring an incoming side IP address by operating dial-up connection with the inter-network connection equipment to which its own station subscribes upon recognizing that the calling to the destination of its own station is present, and making a response by using the acquired incoming side IP address as the origin of calling information and the calling side IP address as the destination information.
