PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus whose fixation member is excellent in durability, which affords fixation in energy saving, and further which does not cause a phenomenon (sheet discharge blocking) in which sheets are bonded to each other through a fixation image.SOLUTION: Provided is an image forming apparatus including fixation means for fixing a toner image formed on a sheet. The fixation means includes a fixation rotor and a pressure rotor that contacts with the fixation rotor to form a nip. The surface pressure of the nip is 0.5 kgf/cmto 1.5 kg/cm. A toner gives an adhesive strength between the toner and standard sheet at 110°C of 0.005 kgf/cmto 0.05 kgf/cmand an adhesive strength between the toner and standard sheet at 130°C of 0.05 kgf/cmto 0.31 kgf/cm.
