SEAL MEMBER FOR CYLINDER HEAD GASKET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely close a gap even when a difference in level becomes larger with existence of many elastic projections. SOLUTION: A cylinder head gasket 1 is clamped between a cylinder head 2 and both a cylinder block 3 and a case 4 having an opening part connected thereto. A seal member 20 is provided on the cylinder head gasket 1 and placed on a part of the cylinder block 3 and the case 4 adjoining each other with spreading over both of them to seal there. Since many elastic projection 22 are provided on a surface of the seal member 20, a part of the elastic projections 20 is located on a step side of an adjacent line 18 of the cylinder block 3 and the case 4 to close a gap of the part.
