PURPOSE:To obtain a battery having a high capacity and the excellent cycle characteristic and a high discharge characteristic by limiting the apparent density of lithium compound cobalt oxide as the positive electrode active material by the standing method or the tapping method. CONSTITUTION:As the positive electrode active material, lithium compound cobalt oxide at 0.35-1.5g/cm<3>, and furthermore at 0.5-1.5g/cm<3> of apparent density by the standing method and at 1.0-3.3g/cm<3>, and furthermore at 1.4-3.3g/cm<3> of the apparent density by the tapping method is used. A battery having the excellent cycle characteristic and a high discharge characteristic can be realized by using this positive electrode active material. |
