Producing continuous, non-circular profiles from crystallisable polyolefins by using polyolefin compns. having a warpage factor less than 0.65, and pref. less than 0.3. Prodn. of extrudates having increased dimensional stability and enhanced appearance. Preferred polyolefins are the crystallisable homo-, co- and block co-polymers of ethylene and/or propylene, particularly polyethylene having a specific wt. greater than 0.935g./cu.cm. An organic or inorganic warpage-reducing agent, such as a colouring agent, e.g. a Cu-contng. phthalocyanine, particularly "PV echt Orange GRL" is pref. added at a concn. of 0.005-1% by wt. to the polyolefin. |
