PURPOSE:To improve steam reforming activity and electrode activity by arranging an air electrode and a fuel electrode on both surfaces of a solid electrolyte body, and forming the fuel electrode mainly of ruthenium, nickel and ceramics. CONSTITUTION:An air electrode and a fuel electrode are arranged on both surfaces of a solid electrolyte body, and a unit fuel cell structure body is formed. After a nickel-ceramics layer is created by using a nickel-ceramics green sheet and slurry or powder as a raw material, this is made to carry on ruthenium by a impregnation method or a metal plating method, and the fuel electrode is formed. Here, the ruthenium has high steam reforming activity, and nickel has high electron conductivity and high electrode activity to hydrogen fuel. Then, a steam reforming function of hydrocarbon is made to carry on the ruthenium, and an electron conductive function is made to carry on the nickel, and ceramics is combined with these. Thereby, a ruthenium quantity to be used can be reduced, and the steam reforming activity and the electrode activity can be improved. |
