<p>The special effects lens hood has a set of sloping mirrors set about the inside wall of the hood, angled to the optic path, and narrowing into the lens. The mirrors provide a circle of images about the central area of the image for a special effect. The extent of the circular band is controlled by the angular setting of the mirrors and by the spatial setting, obtained by adjusting the hood. The images can be clearly defined or faded into each other, as required.</p> |
