Sump pump for slurries in agricultural use - discharges fluid through protecting tube surrounding driving shaft

The pump has a base with inlets in its side. It is closed by a fixed knife blade at its top. The pump shaft carried a rotating blade at its bottom and an axial flow impeller just above this. The slurry is propelled up a tube through which the pump driving shaft runs. It is discharged through a branch at the top of this tube. The driving motor is coupled directly to the pump shaft and there is a seal at the top of the tube where the shaft enters it. The shaft carries an Archimedes screw near its top which aids flow and increases the overall efficiency of the pump.
