PURPOSE:To simplify the production process and to enable mass duplication at low cost by providing a preformat tracking layer which has an area containing bubbles to scatter light and a transparent area without containing bubbles, and providing an optical recording layer adjacent to the preformat layer. CONSTITUTION:The tracking layer 2 having areas with bubbles to scatter light and transparent areas without containing bubbles is provided on a transparent substrate 1, on which the recording layer 4 comprising laser recording material is provided. The transparent substrate 1 may be produced from any resin having excellent optical properties such as high transparency and little double refraction. Tracking marks of the medium can be detected by the state of transparency and this medium can be produced from material suitable for dry process. Thereby, the production process can be simplified and mass duplication of the medium is realized at low cost with a simple method. |
