PURPOSE:To prevent the cracking of inside or corner parts and obtain a sound ingot by disposing ingot bulging preventing members between the upper and lower endless tracks on the ingot outlet side of right and left endless tracks in the titled equipment in which the right and left endless tracks are shorter than the upper and lower endless tracks. CONSTITUTION:The length of right, left endless tracks 10, 10 is made shorter than the length of upper, lower endless tracks 5, 5, to detach the tracks 10, 10 from a frozen shell 6 early and allow the upper side endless track to sufficiently contact with the shell 6, whereby the development of the upper and lower parts of the shell 6 is uniformalized. However, with this arrangement the shell 6 detaches from the tracks 10, 10 early and the development of the right and left side parts of the shell 6 is insufficient, with consequent easy tendency to the occurrence of bulging in the shell 6 by the static pressure of molten steel and the pressing force of the tracks 5, 5. Thereupon, bulging preventing rolls 12 are disposed in aparallel at intervals slightly smaller than the ingot 9 width and between the tracks 5, 5, respectively diametrally opposedly on the shell 6 outlet side of the tracks 10, 10. These are pressed to both right and left side faces of the ingot 9 by means of pressing jigs 14, whereby bulging is prevented. |
