<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a small-sized radar module adapted to be mounted on a vehicle with a wide beam scanning range and a planar array antenna by forming an antenna and a transceiver on a common dielectric board as a micromonolithic integrated circuit. CONSTITUTION: In an FM radar module, a dielectric board 11 is formed of high purity alumina ceramic as a material, and eight monolithic microwave integrated circuits 13a to 13h of a transceiver are disposed on the board 11. Sixteen planar array antennas 12a to 12p for constituting an antenna body 12 and corresponding circulators 14a to 14p are divided into two groups. The antenna 12a to 12h of the one group and the antennas 12i to 12p of the other group are arranged in a crossing state with the linear part at the end side of the feeder line of the corresponding group extended in 180 deg. different direction. Thus, the number of the planar array antennas can be increased in a limited mounting space, and the beam feeding range can be increased to a wide angle.</p> |
