PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the fine powder of a toner and to stabilize triboelectrostatic chargeability by incorporating the polyester obtd. by bringing a monomer compsn. contg. specific components into a polycondensation reaction as a binder resin into the toner. CONSTITUTION:The polyester obtd. by bringing the monomer compsn. contg. the three components; a tervalent and higher valency monomer, arom. dicarboxylic acid and aliphat. diol, into the polycondensation reaction is incorporated as the binder of the toner into the toner. The flexibility of the molecule chains in the polycondensation reaction is improved particularly by the aliphat. diol component. The polyester is so formed that the sum of the acid value and hydroxyl value of the polyester is >=30 and <=80. The destruction of the toner particles is substantially prevented in this way and the generation of the fine powder of the toner is suppressed, by which the contamination of the surface of carrier particles and the contamination of the surface of a photosensitive body are prevented and the triboelectrostatic chargeability of the toner and the carrier is stabilized over a long period of time. |
