PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute editing in a spatial direction to recorded image data by executing editing processing concerning an image pickup signal, generating an operation input signal, executing editing processing to an image pickup signal under reproduction in accordance with an operation inputting instruction indicating to edit the image pickup signal under reproduction during recording and reproduction, and recording the image pickup signal given the editing processing on the same disk recording medium. SOLUTION: A control part 23 controls each part constituting an image data processing part 3 on the basis of an operation input signal from an operation input part 10. An EXT-interface part 8 is provided with a sensor for detecting the attachment and detachment of an optical disk and inputs a detection signal to the part 23 of the part 3. A power source 9 is formed of, e.g. a battery. In recording a signal in an optical disk, image data are generated by a CCD 11, an S/H-AGC 12 and a video digital/analog converter 13 with light entering a camera processing part 1 to record the image data on the optical disk as image data based on the standard of MD data 2.
