A display device, a control method and a display system are provided to perform color correction according to only a simple execution command with respect to an application program in a general computer system. A signal receiving unit(110) receives an image signal from a video displayer. An image processing unit(120) processes the image signal received by the signal receiving unit. A display unit(130) displays an image based on the processed image signal. A controller(140) checks the attribute of the video displayer and corrects color of the displayed image according to the checked attribute of the video displayer. The video displayer includes a video adapter generating the image signal, and when the video adapter is replaced, the controller performs color correction. An information storage unit(150) stores the first identification information of the video adapter. The signal receiving unit receives the second identification information of the video adapter from the video displayer, and the controller compares the first and second identification information to determine whether to replace the video adapter.
