PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorant-containing aqueous polymer dispersion containing no anionic emulsifying agent, its manufacturing method, and a cosmetic composition using the same. SOLUTION: The colorant-containing aqueous polymer dispersion comprises (a) (i) a polymer matrix to be prepared from an ethylenically unsaturated monomer M and (ii) colorant-containing polymer particles which are uniformly dispersed in the above polymer matrix and contain at least one organic colorant C to be selected from a dye, an UV absorber, and a fluorescent brightener and, simultaneously, have an average particle diameter d50 of <1,000 nm, (b) at least one nonionic surface active compound NS, and (c) at least one amphiphatic polymer PA having an anionic functional group. Its manufacturing method and the cosmetic composition using the aqueous polymer dispersion are disclosed. |
