A coupling device, particularly for passenger cars, is disclosed, in which device a ball neck (5) is inserted together with a coupling ball (6) into a retainer (2) fixed to a vehicle (1) and, remotely therefrom, is releasably attached to retaining brackets (3) in such a manner that hooks (8) arranged on the ball neck (5) grip from below a supporting bolt (4) which connects the retaining brackets (3) to one another and the hooks (8) are closed by locking bolts (11) which, when spring-loaded, bear by means of their wedge faces (12) against the supporting bolt (4). A handle (15) enables simultaneous release of the locking bolts (11) against the force of the springs (14). <IMAGE> |
