PURPOSE:To execute a voice response to a transmitting terminal or a receiving terminal by accumulating facsimile signals with a low speed modem of 300 bit/sec and a voice accumulator. CONSTITUTION:Control information between the self equipment and the transmitting terminal are exchanged by the modem 11 of 300 bit/sec; the carrier detection circuit 6 of the modem detects the carrier of facsimile signals, and the result goes through an A/D converter 7 and is accumulated in the voice accumulator 8. Thus facsimile signals are accumulated by using a costless low speed modem 11 of 300 bit/sec and the voice accumulator 8 and without using any constly high speed modem, therefore, the titled accumulator can be manufactured with a low cost. Also, a voice response to a transmitting/receiving terminal can be easily executed from the accumulator 8 through a D/A converter 10 and a two-wire/four-wire change-over circuit 3, and any equipments dedicated to voice response are not necessary to be prepared.
