The invention concerns a load elevator for lifting motor vehicles including those with spoilers or low suspensions in all safety. It consists of a fixed part, comprising a U-shaped base (1) with a column (2) vertically mounted on top, and a mobile part comprising a slide (4) fixed on a fork (5). The mobile part is linked to the fixed part by means of a wedge screw(3)-nut (7, 8, 9) system. The lifting and lowering movement results from the wedge screw (3) rotation, and can be actuated by means of a drill-screwdriver or a crank. Said load elevator is particularly designed for lifting motor vehicles.
