<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a degree of accuracy in a processing position of a machining process to a workpiece in a machining device machining and processing while stopping the workpiece intermittently without having any influence on the conveyance of the workpiece. <P>SOLUTION: This machining device performs machining process to the belt-like workpiece 1 continuously conveyed along a prescribed direction while stopping it intermittently at a machining position Pn. It comprises a machining/processing section 20 provided at the machining position to perform the machining process to the workpiece while the workpiece is stopped, an inlet side buffer mechanism 34a provided on the upstream side of the machining/processing section in the prescribed direction and capable of accumulating the workpiece conveyed from the upstream side, an outlet side buffer mechanism 34b, and a delivery section 31b delivering the accumulated workpiece to the machining/processing section.
