The invention relates to a fastening arrangement of a first component (10) to a second component (12) of a motor vehicle, wherein by means of a positioning device (16), the first component (10) fastened to the second component (12) is aligned relative to the second component (12) while forming a gap (14) that has at least one predefinable gap dimension (s) and is limited by the components (10, 12). The positioning device (16) comprises at least one opening (18) provided on the second component (12), and at least one stepped bolt (20) having a centring collar (22) provided on the first component (10), the outer circumferential-side lateral surface (24) of which is arranged in supporting contact with an inner circumferential-side lateral surface (26) of the second component (12) that limits the opening (18). The stepped bolt (20) is formed integrally with the first component (10) and has a thread located in a longitudinal region (30) adjoining the side of the centring collar (22) that is facing away from the first component (10). The invention further relates to a component for a motor vehicle.
