<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical space transmission system that measures a changing speed of a received optical level and a communication interruption time so as to be able to locate a cause to communication interruption thereby transmitting a faulty warning to a network manager. <P>SOLUTION: The optical space transmission system is configured to comprise a means for detecting a received optical level, a means for detecting a changing speed of the received optical level, a means for measuring a time for communication interruption, a means for judging a cause to the communication interruption on the basis of the changing speed of the received optical level and the communication interruption time, and a means for informing an external device about the fact of communication interruption and its cause. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
