<p>Glycol/phenolic resin compn. for laminates prodn. Compn. consists of a mixture of a glycol (I), pref. ethylene glycol and a water-insoluble heat-setting phenolic resin, pref. contg. 2-20 wt. % (I) w.r.t. total andis soluble in the resin system so tht penetration of the resin into paper is facilitated. Pref. compn. also contains 2-20% of a water-soluble phenolic resin. Used in prodn. of paper laminates which may be applied both to flat and to curved surfaces. Laminates are heat-resistant.</p> |
