<p>The system packs a number of containers in shrinkable sheet material. A strip of the latter is pulled off a storage roll, wrapped around them and welded into place, after which it is shrunk by heating. The containers are delivered individually or in a continuous stream to a mechanism forming a horizontal bag in hose form, in which they are wrapped, so as to form a continuous strand. The bag has transverse perforated lines at regular intervals, so that on shrinkage of the material it tears apart along them,. parting off sets of containers from the string.</p> |
