Aqueous formulations containing [1R-[1 alpha (Z),2 beta ,3 beta ,5 alpha ]]-(+)-7-[5-[[(1,1'-biphenyl)-4-yl]methoxy]-3-hydro xy-2-(1-piperidinyl)cyclopentyl]-4-heptenoic acid or its hydrochloride salt and an unsubstituted or substituted alpha -, beta - or gamma -cyclodextrin, which are particularly suitable for the treatment or prophylaxis of states mediated or caused by thromboxane A2, have been found. Suitable aqueous formulations comprise injections, oral products such as syrups and capsules, and inhalation products.
