PURPOSE:To obtain an azeotropic composition useful as a fluorocarbon substitute and a solvent, comprising 1,1,2 trichloro-2,2-difluoroethane and methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol or 2-propanol. CONSTITUTION:A composition comprising (A) 88-99.9wt.% 1,1,2-trichloro-2,2- difluoroethane and (B) 0.1-12wt.% methanol, a composition comprising 91-99.9wt.% component A and (B) 0.1-9wt.% ethanol, a composition comprising 80-97wt.% component A and (H) 3-20wt.% 1-propanol and a composition comprising 95-99.9wt.% component A and (B) 0.1-5wt.% 2-propanol. The above-mentioned composition is usable as a substitute while satisfying excellent characteristics of 1,1,1-trichloroethane, has small composition variability even by recycling, does not corrodes materials to be cleaned and does not require sharp change of existing technology. |
