PURPOSE:To improve the washing efficiency of washing clothing and to decrease the entangling and damage of clothing. CONSTITUTION:This washing machine is provided with a chaos signal generating means 25 for generating a chaos signal and a motor ON/OFF time deciding means 24 for deciding the ON or OFF time of a motor from this chaos signal. Corresponding to a signal from this motor ON/OFF time deciding means 24, the ON/OFF time of the motor is controlled, and the drive of a pulsator 2 to be driven corresponding to the drive of the motor 5 is controlled in the manner of chaos.
