PURPOSE: To prepare a heat-storing material compsn. wherein components are homogeneously mixed, from which a large amt. of latent heat can be taken out, and which can be repeatedly used, by blending specific components by a specific method. CONSTITUTION: Water is mixed with water glass and hydrochloric acid to prepare a homogeneous gelation product of 7 to 8 in pH, which is then mixed with anhydrous sodium sulfate, one supercooling inhibitor, and hydrous calcium sulfate in an arbitrary order. In this case, an inorg. salt as a m.p. modifier is desirably mixed with water, water glass and hydrochloric acid to prepare a homogeneous gelation product of 7 to 8 in pH. in the heat-storing material compsn., use is usually made of 20-70wt.% water, 0.2-20-wt.% water glass (the amt. is a value in terms of 44% Na2 O.2SiO2 ), 0.1-10wt.% hydrochloric acid in terms of 35% hydrochloric acid, and 0.1-5wt.% m.p. modifier. The compsn. is filled in a tubular container packed with the supercooling inhibitor on the bottom thereof and/or along the inner peripheral surface thereof to make a heat storage apparatus. |
