To a single long carrier (2) are secured two ultrasonic transducers (5,6) facing one another. The gap formed between them at an angle to the direction of flow forms the measuring distance (7). The carrier is secured to a mount (10) from which it can be detached and which secures it to the pipeline (14). Leads for the transducer remote from the mount are brought out in the links (4), any flow disturbance they cause being compensated in the software
