PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make crystals of a macromolecular compound such as protein obtainable in a shorter time than before by accelerating the crystallization of the macromolecular compound such as protein, and enhance the yield by improving the efficiency of the crystallization. SOLUTION: A macromolecular compound crystallization accelerating apparatus which accelerates by irradiating drops of a macromolecular compound solution with a pulse laser beam to accelerate crystallization of the macromolecular compound, comprises a pulse laser beam output means for outputting pulse laser beam, and a shutter means for controlling the pulse laser beam output from the laser oscillator, or the pulse laser beam output means, in a prescribed pulse train and segmenting it, and irradiates the drops of the macromolecular compound solution with a pulse train of the pulse laser beam segmented by the shutter means or a pulse train controlled in irradiation intensity.
